About the Architect

Sri Lankan born and bred, architect Manjula Kalhara, has quickly become one of Sri Lanka’s most prominent and sought after architects.

Engaging with Sri Lanka's most prominent sporting illuminates, business leaders and developers. With a focus on environmentally friendly structures.

His expertise ranges from classic Dutch colonial, to modern zen resorts; including both boutique and city hotels and important heritage sites.  He has a strong environmental ethos which has been highlighted by his recent appointment by the Sri Lankan Government Tourist Bureau (Southern Provincial Board), as consultant architect for the Eco Village.

In Sri Lanka, Developer Dale Rennie developed the absolute beach front villa ‘Puzzle Beach House’ https:// puzzlebeachhouse.com (completed) in the prestigious ‘golden mile’ of Thalpe/ Habaraduwa area.

Dale’s American wife and partner, Sabrina (Van Cleef Ault) is the creative head of the company. Sabrina is also the co-founder & Creative Director of the world famous ‘Pangaea’ uber luxury lifestyle & entertainment brand in 6 continents and 10 cities.

With a focus on brand conceptualisation from the ground up with attention to all details that envelop any successful world class brand, Sabrina will push for a ethos supporting the relevance of The Plantation Villas as it relates to the environment.

The couple’s latest creation is The Heritage Cafe & Bistro a heritage concept restaurant housed in a 400 year old building in the centre of Sri Lanka’s UNESCO Heritage site Galle Fort.

Sabrina also designed the unique Puzzle Beach House in the prestigious Talpe area of Sri Lanka's southern coast.
